The open-roof construction for a vehicle has a movable panel (3) provided in a roof aperture, which is sealed when the panel is in the closed state. A resilient seal (4) is provided around the circumference of the panel comprising a first sealing element (13) which contacts a roof flange. The seal has a second element (5) which cooperates with the bottom edge of the flange, protruding underneath and in front of it. The seal has a profiled attachment section integral with the second sealing element, i.e. a lip (14). The attachment section is held by a ribbed moulding (6) and a metal reinforcement (9), and is encompassed by the sealing strip. |
