PURPOSE:To facilitate the balancing of a crank shaft by cutting out part of a counterweight by a difference in counterweight between specifications by drilling, etc. CONSTITUTION:Specifications, A, B, and C use crank shafts in exactly the same shape, but differ in the weight of a counterweight, and A>B>C. Drill holes (h) are drilled by a drill 5 in counterweights C1 and C4 amount C1-C6 of the crank shaft S1 of the specification A to cut the counterweights C1 and C4 partially, thereby obtaining the crank shaft S2 of the specification B. The quantity of cutting is adjustable by controlling drill depth Dp. Thus, the feed extent of the drill 5 is controlled according to the difference between the counterweight weight of the specification A and the counterweight weight of the specification B is controlled to obtain the crank shaft S2 of the specification B. The crank shaft of the specification C is also obtained in the same way.
