PURPOSE:To make a judgment possible that vibration caused to a body coincides with a feeling of a passenger, by setting an evaluated road surface condition value by calculating a difference between a peak value of outputs from relative displacement sensing means for sensing a relative displacement of a body and a road surface and sensed relative displacement value. CONSTITUTION:Avibrating condition judgment means D senses a condition which causes vibration to a body based on a relative displacement value sensed by a relative displacement sensing unit A for sensing a relative displacement of a road surface and the body and controlling a damping force of a suspension unit such as a damping force variable shock absorber or the like according to the sensed result to restrict vibration of the body. In this case, there are provided peak value sensing means B for sensing a peak value of relative displacement values sensed and road surface condition evaluation means C for setting an evaluated road surface condition value based on the peak value sensed and a relative displacement value sensed. The vibration condition judgment means D judges a condition which causes vibration of the body based on the evaluated road surface condition value set by the setttng means C. |
