PURPOSE:To aim at improvement in handling stability on a slope road surface, etc., by specifying the width of a crosscutting groove and forming the groove in a specifically bent form, in a radial tire in wich crosscutting grooves are formed through both side parts of a tread into shoulder parts. CONSTITUTION:A rib demarccted in the circumferentid direction between two zigzag grooves 11 arranged in the a circumferential direction in the middle area of a tread and lands Rb showing lug shapes at equal spaces in the circumferential direction demarcated by crosscutting grooves 12 arranged in areas S extending through both side areas So of the tread into shoulder parts S1, are provided in a radial tire. In a radial tire such as this one, both side walls of the crosscutting groove 12 are formed with a enough width not to touch one another when revolving with load. Also, inside and outside parts being divided at nearly ends of the tread, and arranged in the axial direction of the rotary shatt of the tire tilt reversely each other in a circumferential direction to form bent shapes with a recessed contral area in relation to the turning direction of the tire. |
