1. Ship's propulsion system comprising at least two motors for the driving of two variable-pitch propellers and of at least two auxiliary machines, wherein a transmission block is associated with each propellers, characterised in that between the transmission blocks (W1 , W3 , S1 ) is provided a generator-transmission block (W2 , S4 , W8 , W9 ) consisting of generators (G1 ), which are joined in parallel through shafts (W2 , W8 , W9 ) by way of gearwheels (S4 ) and which are connected free from slipping, wherein the generator-transmission block can be connected selectively : a) to one of the motor-propeller-transmission blocks (W1 , W3 , S1 ), b) to both motor-propeller-transmission blocks with one or two motors driving, or c) to both motor-propeller-transmission blocks with one or two motors driving and propellers disconnected. |
