PURPOSE:To improve a welding accuracy by measuring the frequency of a pulse current of the weaving end of a torch and adjusting the center position of the weaving rotation of a torch by comparing this measured value with the preset value. CONSTITUTION:A torch 1 is subjected to a weaving after performing the key input into the upper and lower position setter 25 and right and left position setter 26 the upper and lower, right and left optimum values of the torch 1 according to the shape of a groove part 5. While under weaving, the weaving end is detected as a frequency measurement start position, the pulse gap is detected at the position thereof via a current waveform detecting circuit and the upper and lower position judgement of the torch 1 is performed based on this value. The adjustment of the right and left positions is performed based on the frequency data fed from the weaving end of the opposite side. In this way, the welding of good accuracy can be performed.
