PURPOSE:To improve the processing efficiency of the whole of a system by reading a sector address at the time of detection of a sector start signal from a disk and setting a prescribed value to a comparing circuit to write and read data without the latency time. CONSTITUTION:An interrupt signal 405 in a processor is set to '1' by a sector start signal from the disk to interrupt an MPU 7 at a specific address. At the time of the first interrupt due to sector pulse detection, a sector address 406 from the disk is read by a microprogram to recognize the current sector address. The value of (the recognized current address)+1 is set as a sector address value display signal 403 designated by the MPU 7; and when the coincidence between the designated sector address and the current sector address is detected in a comparing circuit 10 by disk rotation, a write start signal 105 is generated to write data on the disk. After one-sector components of data are written, the MPU is interrupted by an end signal 404 and the address and the byte count of a buffer 1 are set to prepare for write of the next sector.
