The invention concerns a constructional element made of plastic, the walls of which contain hard material to prevent grawing by rodents. The hard material has a hardness of at least 9 on the Mohs' hardness scale. Also described is a coupling ring (6) or coupling sleeve (5) for an element, for example a pipe. Said ring or said sleeve has an inner groove (6') which is plugged with plastic after the ring or sleeve is mounted, to prevent relative axial movement between the element and the ring or sleeve.
