PURPOSE:To adjust the angle of a shaft in an optional direction with a very easy method by inserting a variable thickness washer between a pedestal and an adjusting nut and tightening the adjusting nut to incline the shaft to the pedestal. CONSTITUTION:A variable thickness washer 3 having a thick part 3a in one side is inserted between a chassis 4, which is engaged with a screw part 1a of a shaft 1 to fix the shaft, and an adjusting nut 2. When the nut 2 is tightened, a reaction (f) is generated to incline the shaft 1 in the direction of an arrow (b). If the shaft 1 is inclined at an angle theta to a correct position at the time of the first adjustment, the position of the washer is so adjusted that the thick part 3a is brought in the direction of inclination, and the nut is tightened again. Thus, the angle of the shaft is adjusted in an optional direction by the very easy method.
