PURPOSE:A molded article, obtained by molding a specific amino group- containing diacetylene compound and having a high elastic modulus and strength. CONSTITUTION:A molded article obtained by molding an amino group-containing diacetylene compound expressed by formula I (X, X', Y and Y' are H, 1-20C hydrocarbon, etc.; R and R' are 1-20C bifunctional hydrocarbon), e.g. obtained by reacting a compound expressed by formula II with acetic acid, etc., to form an N-acetyl derivative, oxidatively coupling the reaction product with copper chloride, etc., and hydrolyzing the resultant product with hydrochloric acid, etc., preferably under a high pressure. USE:Electronic materials, nonlinear optical materials, etc.
