PURPOSE:To optionally select a monocolor having a delicate hue, by providing a monocolor mode and causing the hue to be selected optionally at the time of monocolor mode. CONSTITUTION:At the time of the monocolor mode, an optional hue is produced by respectively adjusting volumes 32-34 of red, green, and blue. When, for example, the volumes 32 and 33 of red and green are made equal to each other, yellow is obtained, but, by changing the levels of the volumes, different densities of yellow can be obtained. Moreover, when the volume 32 of red is set a little larger than the volume 33 of green, reddish yellow can be obtained. In order to easily determine the color of a monocolor, respective lamps 36-38 are turned on and adjusted in accordance with the values of the red, green, and blue volumes 32-34 and the hue of the monocolor is selected while the color of the monocolor is confirmed through a color generator.
