摘要 For locating guns acoustically, at least two measuring crosses (61) of four adjacently arranged microphones (65, ..., 68) are laid out at known positions in the terrain. Bearing angles ( phi ) are calculated from differences in the transit time of muzzle reports of the guns at diametrically opposite microphones of each measuring cross and from these the gun sites are determined, taking into consideration the positions of the measuring crosses. To eliminate bearing errors due to wind influences on the propagation of the muzzle report from the gun site (S) to the measuring cross (A), a sound pulse is emitted from the centre of the measuring cross (83) during intervals in the shooting and its differences in the time of reception at the microphones is used for determining wind strength and wind direction. A correction angle ( theta ) is determined for each bearing angle from the ratio between wind strength (Vw) and velocity of sound (c) and a difference angle from wind direction ( alpha ) and bearing angle ( phi ). To enter the gun sites (S) in a position map for artillery reconnaissance, the direction between position and gun sites is determined from the difference between the bearing angle ( phi ) and correction angle ( theta ). <IMAGE>
