PURPOSE:To carry out the feed of uniform and a proper quantity of materials by charging a belt like elastic raw material into a metal mold cavity and applying compression or heat. CONSTITUTION:A ring form sealing member A consists of a synthetic rubber elastic body 1 and a core member 2 for reinforcing the elastic body 1. In order to form this, cut-in parts 4 are formed in the width direction from one or both end faces of a belt like elastic raw material 3c at a desired interval, and narrow width parts 5 formed by the cut-in parts 4 are bent and deformed. And, after formed into a flat ring shape, the material, together with the core material 2, is charged into a metal mold cavity and compressedly molded. Accordingly, the material flows into every corner of the cavity in a short time, enabling the feed of uniform and a proper quantity of material. |
