PURPOSE:To continuously keep the density of a file-forming material by a method in which speed energy is given to the pile-forming material by a fluid, e.g., air, and converted to impact energy, and the pile--forming material is compacted and left under the ground. CONSTITUTION:Sand 8 packed into a hopper 6 is sent out into compressed air flowing in a supply tube 2 while regulating the amount of it to be supplied by a feeder 7. The sand is sprayed from the tube 2 onto the exposure of the ground in the lower end opening of a casing 1 and then stopped in an impacting manner. As the casing 1 is pulled up, a sand pile 10 is formed under the ground. Compaction pile can thus be continuously formed while regulating the compacting degree of the pile formed.
