PURPOSE:To obtain an always stable finish with high quality by conveying and developing PS plates to be processed while immersing the same into a developing tank in which a substantially unused aq. alkaline liquid developer is uniformly filled. CONSTITUTION:The conveyed PS plate is fed by pumps 10, 11 and is passed through the liquid developer filled into the space between an upper guide plate 4 and a lower guide plate 4' from a processing soln. supply port 7, by which the PS plate is developed. The PS plate is finally passed between a pair of squeeze rollers 9, by which the liquid developer is squeezed. The PS plate past the developing section in the above-mentioned manner is then thoroughly rinsed by circulating water in a rinsing section 2. The rinsing section 2 consists mainly of a conveying roller pair 15, a squeeze roller pair 16, shower pipes 17, 17', 17'', a rinsing water supply pump 20, and a rinsing water storage tank 21 and supplies the rinsing water fed from the pump 20 from the shower pipes to the PS plate conveyed to the rinsing section. The rinsed PS plate is fed to a rinsing and gum coating section 3 where the PS plate is subjected to the rinsing or gum coating. |
