PURPOSE:To prevent dew from condensing on the inner surface of a glass plate of the bow to make it possible to ventilate the room by providing a ventilation box containing therein a ventilator, having on its outer surface a suction port for sucking outdoor air, and on its upper surface a blow-off port for blowing off outdoor air, and a main bow window body connected to the upper surface of the ventilation box and provided on the lower surface with an opening to which is exposed a blow-off port and communicating in the interior with an indoor space. CONSTITUTION:The bow window is provided with a ventilation box 2 having on its under surface a suction port 5 for sucking outdoor air and on its upper surface a blow-off port 3 for blowing off outdoor air, and a main bow window body 1 connected to the upper part of said ventilation box 2, provided on its under surface with an opening 13 to which is exposed a blow-off port 3 for blowing off external air, and communicating in the interior with an indoor space. A heat-exchange type ventilation device is connected to the main bow window body 1, and heat exchanged outdoor air is blown off to the inner surface of a glass door 8, thus making it possible to prevent dew from condensing on the inner surface of the glass door 8 in winter season. The ventilation box 2 accommodating therein the ventilation device is installed at the lower part of the main bow window body 1 by utilizing the same, and hence no special space is required for the ventilation equipments, and the fine appearance of the building is not impaired. Further, the mounting method and the structure therefor are simple, and it is easy to maintain.
