PURPOSE:To obtain the titled composition having low smoking tendency, low toxicity and extremely high flame-retardance and producible at a low cost, by compounding a specific hydrated calcium aluminate to a base resin. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. of a thermoplastic resin is compounded with >=250pts. wt., usually 250-400pts.wt. of a hydrated calcium aluminate having an oil absorption of <=30ml/100g and a specific surface area of >=7,000cm<2>/g.
