PURPOSE:To enable a ball joint to improve accuracy of its rotary and swivel motion, by enhancing sphericity of a ball part of a ball attached rod and small decreasing a clearance between the ball part and a ball receiving part of a holder. CONSTITUTION:A ball joint is equipped with a holder 1, which provides a ball receiving part 2 in one end side while a connection part 3 in the other end side, and a ball part 5 of high sphericity which maintains a clearance of necessary minimum limit being rotatably and swivelably held in the ball receiving part 2 of the holder 1 in the one end side. While in the other end side, a ball- attached rod 4 is mounted between the ball receiving part 2 and the root part of a connection part 6 of the ball-attached rod 4. Accordingly, the ball part 5 of the ball-attached rod 4 welds a ball of high sphericity by projection welding to a rod main unit, and the ball joint improves accuracy of its rotary and swivel motion by enabling the high sphericity of the ball 4a to be maintained while the clearance between the holder and the ball part to be small decreased.
