PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of fire caused by sparking of static electricity generated, by arranging an ion blowing device against inlet and outlet sealed parts near at the outside of the inlet and outlet sealed parts of the section using combustible atmospheric gas. CONSTITUTION:At the inlet and outlet parts, at which the metallic strip 1, etc., is charged and discharged, of the section, such as the continuous annealing furnace, etc., using the combustible atmospheric gas, the inlet and outlet parts are formed as abutting elastic rotating roll 9 on sealed metal 10 and the metallic strip 1. An ion atmospheric generator 11, from which the ion 15 is blown against the inlet and outlet parts, is arranged near at the outside of the inlet and outlet parts. This generator 11 composed of cylindrical body 11a having section of almost square and provides one pair of negative electrodes 12 therein and positive electrode 13 arranged as projecting needle electrode 13b through inducing body at the outer circumference of high voltage core-wire 13a. By impressing the voltage on the high voltage core-wire 13a to discharge electricity between both electrodes 12, 13, the ion 15 is generated and the air is sent from blower 14 through blowing pipe 11c, to blow the ion 15 against the inlet and outlet sealed parts from the flow-out hole 11b.
