The interlock device, for the cam closure type of circuit interrupts and switching device, includes a closing support for bearing the rotation of a closing cam and a main link for transmitting the rotation of the closing cam to a linkage for opening and closing a contact set. A double closure preventing plate is provided for transmitting the movement of a closing pushbutton to the closing support in accordance with a position of the main link. During the closure of the contact set, the double closure preventing plate may be preferably held in its position where the movement of the closing pushbutton is not transmitted to the closing support.
