PURPOSE:To prevent inclination of a sunroof, by a method wherein the sunroof is supported by means of a slidable and rotatable stay, coupled with the front edge of the sunroof, and a central part elevating device and a both end parts elevating device, both secured to the car body side. CONSTITUTION:By means of a driving device 19, a drive body 11 is moved rearward on guide rails 6 integrally with a front slider 10, a base end part 14b of a central part tilt arm 14 and a pin 14a are moved rearward and is situated in a vertical position. Thereafter, when the drive body 11 is moved to the engaging position of a rear slider 8, a cam member is rotated, and the drive body 11 is moved on the front guide rails 6 integrally with the rear slider. As a result, a sunroof 5 is moved backward, and the rear slider 8 is moved to the rear ends of the front guide rails 6, and when the tip of a central part tilt arm 14 is moved to the end parts of guide rails 12, tilt and slide action is completed. This constitution enables prevention of lateral inclination of the sunroof 5.
