<p>PURPOSE:To permit any of the plural controls of mutually different mode to be selected in accordance with a content of abnormality generated in a control system, by performing a control of auxiliary steering force, which must be given to a steering system, through the plural different modes. CONSTITUTION:An electric motor driven power steering device is actuated by the first control mode, in which switches SW1-SW4 are selected in a condition as shown in the drawing, second control mode, when only the switches SW1, SW2 are selected oppositely to the drawing, and the third control mode where the switches SW3, SW4 are turned off in no relation to a selected position of the switches SW1, SW2. The first control mode performs a power steering control by a digital soft process through constitution with a microcomputer serving as the center, while the second control mode performs the power steering control by analog through constitution with a torque signal processing circuit 85 serving as the center, and the third mode places the control in a condition that a power. steering function is lost.</p> |
