PURPOSE:To obtain a uniform recording image not affected by the change in the humidity of the installation environment of a recording apparatus, by providing a humidity detection means and an emitting signal control means for controlling the electric signal applied to a liquid droplet forming means according to the output of said detection means. CONSTITUTION:The recording data S0 corresponding to ink emitting quantity necessary for printing for obtaining desired halftone expression is converted to an output voltage signal necessary for emission at reference humidity, for example, at 50% RH by the conversion part 1A of a control part 1 to be inputted to a control operation part (emitting signal control means) 1B. A humidity detection part 3 detects environmental humidity to supply a humidity signal S3 to a control operation part 1B. The control operation part 1B performs control according to the change in density due to humidity on the basis of said two input signals and outputs the output signal S1 corresponding to the environmental humidity detected to supply the same to an ink jet head 2. Therefore, the head 2 is operated in such a state that humidity is compensated optimumly and ink emitting quantity necessary for required printing is obtained even when the change in humidity is generated. |
