PURPOSE:To obtain the shift value data equivalent to that obtained by shifting a mouse device in a wide range by delivering repetitively the shift value data for each sampling time and extracting this data with operation of a changeover switch part after converting it into an optional multiple one. CONSTITUTION:When a mouse device is moved on a plane, a shift value of the X and Y direction shift values and these values are measured by a detecting part 1 for each time interval supplied from a sampling timer part 2. These measured shift values are supplied to a repeating part 5 and a gate part 7. The part 5 stores the received measure value and delivers it repetitively and synchronously with the detecting time interval signal. This repetitively delivered shift values are supplied to a magnification setting part 8 and added together repetitively to be equal to the set magnification. This added value is outputted as the multiplied shift value data. The part 7 applies the multiplied shift value data to a data format part 3 when a changeover switch part 6 is pushed. While the actual shift value data is applied to the part 3 when the part 6 is not pushed.
