PURPOSE:To reduce the display/input processing load by saving the present picture state with designation of data input in a program execution mode and using a part of said picture state to display a new input picture and to attain the data input. CONSTITUTION:When a program working on a ROM 2 or a RAM 3 designates the switch of the input pictures, a multiprocessor 1 sends a reading command to an LCD controller 6 for the VRAM data stored in a RAM 8. Then the controller 6 reads out the data of the VRAM and sends it to a processor 1. The processor 1 saves the read-out data to the RAM and reads the new input data out of the ROM 2 to deliver a writing command to the controller 6. The designated position data is read out of those data saved to the RAM 3 when the input pictures are switched and a writing command is issued to the controller 6. The controller 6 writes the display data to the RAM 8 and also outputs the display picture to an LCD 7.
