PURPOSE:To improve typing sharpness and to enhance durability, by enhancing not only fabric density but also the ultimate viscosity of a polyamide fiber constituting a fabric. CONSTITUTION:In a fabric for a computer printing ribbon consisting of a polyamide fiber and having warp yarn density of 150/in or more and weft yarn density of 100-130/in, the ultimate viscosity of the polyamide fiber constituting a warp yarn and a waft yarn is set to 1.30-1.75. As the polyamide fiber, nylon 6 and nylon 66 are used. Further, the strength of a polyamide multifilamanet is set to 6.5g/d or more in order to enhance durability. On order to enhance a weaving property, an interlace of 30/m or more and/or a twist of 200T/m or more are imparted to the warp yarn. By this method, good printing sharpness is obtained.
