PURPOSE:The titled preparation effective for beatifying skin, removing stain, etc., and for improving spots of skin resulting from liver disorder, comprising a methanol-soluble component in a dialysis fraction of aloe, especially aloesin, 2''-0-feruloylaloesin, etc., as an active ingredient. CONSTITUTION:A tyrosinase inhibitor comprising a methanol-soluble component in a dialysis fraction of aloe(medicinal aloe such as Aloe perryi Baker, A. arbqrescens Mill. var. natalensis Berger, A. barbadensis Miller, etc.), especially aloesin (2-acetonitrile-8-glucopyranosyl-7-hydroxychromone) (formula I), 2''-0-feru loylaloesin(shown by formula II), etc., as an active ingredient. The tyrosinase inhibitor is useful as a drug for external use, cosmetic, etc., in the form of ointment, tincture, soap, cream, toilet lotion, toilet powder, pack, etc. The inhibi tor is effective for treating liver spot, melasma, and other diseased melanism and for beautifying effects on skin. |
