摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To obtain good treated water, by determining the treatment capacity of an anaerobic reactor from the pH distribution in the anaerobic reactor in the height direction and controlling the inflow quantity of waste water corresponding to the treatment capacity. CONSTITUTION:The org. substance in waste water is decomposed into volatile org. acids by the action of acid producing bacteria. Therefore, pH is low in the vicinity of the waste water inflow ports of anaerobic reactors 6a, 6b...6n and gradually becomes high toward the treated water outlets thereof. The pH values of the reactors in the height direction are measured by pH meters 7a, 7b...7n and the treatment capacities of the anaerobic reactors are operated on the basis of pH distribution by an operation apparatus 9. Subsequently, the inflow waste water to the anaerobic reactors 6a, 6b...6n is distributed corresponding to the treatment capacities. By this method, the treatment capacity of each anaerobic reactor can be directly determined and control can be performed with high accuracy.</p>
