<p>PURPOSE:To improve electrolyzing efficiency and metal collecting efficiency by providing liquid flow blocking bodies extending to an effective electrolyzing region to the surfaces of perpendicularly installed cathodes and accelerating the passage of a soln. in the effective electrolyzing region. CONSTITUTION:A flat plate anode 2 is installed to the center in an electrolytic cell 1 and the flat plate cathodes 3 are installed on both sides thereof in parallel with the anode 2 in the state of maintaining the tight contact with the side walls of a vessel 1. >=1 liquid flow blocking bodies 8 consisting of graphite, etc., are horizontally provided on the surfaces of the two cathodes 3. The soln. to be treated supplied from a liquid feed pipe 9 to the lower part of the electrolytic cell 1 is electrolyzed while the liquid ascends in an electrolytic chamber 6. A metal is deposited on the surface of conductive medium particles 7 and is thereby removed. The soln. is forcibly drifted to the effective electrolyzing region as shown by arrows 13 by the bodies 8 when the soln. enters the region 11 having no electrolyzing function in the process of ascending in the cell 1. The electrolyzing efficiency is thus remarkably improved.</p> |
