<p>PURPOSE:To continuously perform painting without performing intermittent control, in applying painting to the welded seam part of a can body, by feeding a plurality of can bodies in a state allowed to approach each other in the vicinity of a coating part. CONSTITUTION:Can bodies are intermittently supplied to be subjected to seam welding by a can body forming apparatus 6 and the welded can bodies are fed in an X-direction at a predetermined interval S by a first feed means 1 while the seam part 8 of each can body is held in an upward direction. The can bodies 9 of which the seam parts 8 are cooled during feed are fed by a second feed means 2 having a speed slower than that of the first feed means 1 while the interval S between the can bodies 9 is made narrow and the opening end parts 10 thereof are closely contacted with each other so as to hold an approach state on the same axis. During the time when the can bodies 9 pass through the painting means 3 on the second feed means 2, painting is successively applied to the inner surface of the seam part of each can body 9 by a first coating nozzle 13 and, next, painting is successively applied to the outer surface of the seam part 8 by a second coating nozzle 15 while the painted can bodies are sent to a drying oven by other feeding apparatus 24.</p> |
