PURPOSE:To send different messages to plural callers at the same time by providing a recording circuit recording a message on an IC card and a reproducing circuit reproducing a message from the IC card and starting the reproducing circuit by using an incoming signal sent from a master equipment at the absence mode. CONSTITUTION:An IC card is set to a connector 5 of a key telephone set KT-m, the key telephone set KT-m is set to the registration mode by KEY operation. When a registration personnel registers a message via a handset T, the message is converted into a digital signal from an analog signal and subjected to serial/ parallel conversion and the result is registered on an IC card ICCD in a PCM format digital signal. When an incoming call is received from a trunk line CO-j to the key telephone set KT-i, a control circuit CPU connects the trunk line CO-j and the key telephone set KT-i. A control circuit KPU of the key telephone set KT-i reads an absence message from the IC card ICCD registering the message and sends the result to the line CO-j.
