PURPOSE:To facilitate the input of rules and to improve the function of a knowledge acquisition processor by transforming the 1F-THEN... type rules into a matrix table. CONSTITUTION:A knowledge input processing means 31 supplies the contents (conditions, conclusion, reliability to the conclusion) of each item contained in a matrix table data by an interactive way or a collective processing way and stores them in a matrix data file 32. A matrix/rule conversion means 33 converts the data stored in the file 32 into the rules consisting of programs of the 1F-THEN... type and stores them in a knowledge base 2. This converted base 2 undergoes the correction, editing of the knowledge through a conventional knowledge acquisition processing means 1. While the rules stored in the base 2 and corrected by the means 1 are stored in the file 32 in the form of the new or updated matrix table data via the adverse conversion processing carried by the means 33.
