<p>PURPOSE:To permit sorting operation to be effected quickly and securely with a simple construction, by gripping paper sheets discharged from a recording unit by gripping means, stopping them when they reach the position of a prescribed tray and feeding them into the tray by paper sheet feed means. CONSTITUTION:Recorded paper sheets discharged from a recording device travel on a gripping roller 15. When a suitable amount of the paper sheets travels, the insertion of them are sensed by a position sensor and a motor 9 rotates in a normal direction to cause gripping means 3 to be lifted by a micro belt 5. Then, pressure is applied to a pressing roller 16 so that the roller 16 is not rotated regardless of that the belt 5 is driven. As a result, the belt 5 is gripped between the roller 16 and a roller 17 for combining them and the entire gripping means is integrally connected with the belt 5 to be lifted. Next, when the paper sheets are gripped between the roller 15 and a pressing piece 28 and the gripping means 3 is lifted to a prescribed height, a brake is released to stop lifting of the gripping means 3 and the roller 15 is rotated. The paper sheets are fed to the side of a tray 1 by the rotation of the roller 15, whereby sorting operation is effected quickly and securely.</p> |
