PURPOSE:To prevent any cross-leak of gas so as to aim at enhancement of safety of a battery by fixing both ends of a leaf spring to a framework having an intermediate partition so as to provide manifolds of respective reaction gases in parallel arrangement and energizing the intermediate partition to make pressure contact with the shielding seal face of a battery stack by means of elastic force of the leaf spring. CONSTITUTION:A framework 6 havings an intermediate partition 6' is provided in advance with lead spring 8 for pushing to press the intermediate partition 6'. Each of these leaf springs 8 is previously fitted in the notch part 9 of the intermediate partition 6' so that its both ends are fixed to a pair of fitting part 10 of the framework 6 with screws 11. The leaf spring 8 is fitted in the notch part 9 after setting a sealing piece 12 therein. When a battery stack 1 is clamped from outer circumference side by means of fromeworks 5 and 6, the framework itself makes pressure contact with the battery stack surface via a frame-shaped sealing material 13 but at the same time the intermediate partition 6' is energized to make pressure contact with a stack shielding sealing surface via a shielding seal 13'. |
