The invention relates to a device for generating cycloidal vibrations. The subject of the invention is a device for generating cycloidal vibrations, of the type comprising an electric motor 1 rotationally driving a shaft 4 carrying an eccentric mass 6, characterised in that the said mass is constituted by a ball 6 or the like which can move in an appropriate housing orthogonal to the axis of the said shaft 4, which housing is made in a part rotationally integral with the latter, the ball being continually stressed in its housing by a spring 7 tending to bring it back towards the said shaft, the part/ball/spring assembly being balanced by a counterweight 8, at rest, with respect to the axis of the said shaft.
