<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a lamp base for a bulb which can prevent deformation in the central part on the upper surface of the metal shell by providing a wall at a right angle to the surface in the central part of the metal shell in parallel with a line connecting two terminal pins. CONSTITUTION:Terminal pins 2 are planted on a metal shell 1 through the circular insulation members 3 and 4, and fixed by caulding at their ends. Outer leading-in wires of a fluorescent lamp are laid through through holes punched on a terminal pin 4, and the metal shell end part on the opposite side to the side, where the terminal pins 2 are planted, is fixed to the glass bulb end part of the fluorescent lamp with lamp base cement and the tips of the terminal pins 2 are conductively fixed to the outer leading-in wires by welding or the like to complete the fluorescent lamp. The metal shell 1 is constituted being provided with a recessed rib 5 of smaller width than the outer diameters of the circular insulation members 3 in the central part on the upper surface in the derection of a line connecting the right and the left insulation members. The recessed rib 5 or ribs are provided in one or two places. Thereby, an almost right angled wall to the surfaces 2 to 4 which has the height by the depth of the rececced rib is formed and it has an effect against the occurrence of deformation in the right-angled direction to said wall surface.</p> |
