<p>PURPOSE:To enable the quantitative measurement of the size of a drop in a tube in terms of signal width of a central peak, by converting the monitored drop in the tube into a video signal, and confirming the presence or absence of the drop in the tube from the video signal. CONSTITUTION:A first differential circuit 5 differentiates a video signal A by time to generate a first differential signal B. A second differential circuit 6 differentiates the first differential signal B by time further to generate a second differential signal C. An A/D conversion circuit 7 converts the second differential signal C from an analog quantity to a digital video signal D. After that, a CPU 9 reads the digital video signal D from a frame memory 8 on the bases of a image precessing program. The range of a tube 2, which is a monitoring object, is determined on a picture through the threshold value processing on the level of the signal D. The characteristic pattern of a drop 3 in the tube is recognized in terms of the determined range of the tube 2 to confirm the presence of the drop in the tube. The pattern recognition is performed by distinguishing the upward peak of central portion and the downward peaks of both side lower portions.</p> |
