PURPOSE:To improve the display quality of overlaid a line graphic and a character by providing a means to paint out the connecting part of a segment with a width by the circle of the radius to meet a designated line width. CONSTITUTION:When a segment display instruction is received from a central processing unit 6 through a segment buffer 7, a display controller 1 gives the coordinates of a starting point S1 and a terminal point S2 to a straight line generating device 2 and develops a segment S1-S2 to a frame memory 4. In the same way, respective 3 segments S13-S23, etc., are developed to the right and left and segments ABCD with a width are generated. The display controller 1 continuously confirms the presence and absence of the display of the next segment and develops the painting-out graphic of the circle of the radius to meet a line width with the terminal coordinates of the segment ABCD as a center. The display controller 1, next, develops a segment EFGH and in the same way, develops the painting-out graphic of the circle to a terminal position. Thus, in the picture drawing of plural segments with the width, the display quality of the connecting part can be increased. |
