NOVEL PLASMID AND MICROORGANISM CONTAINING SAID PLASMID AND PRODUCTION OF USEFUL PHYSIOLOGICALLY ACTIVE SUBSTANCE

PURPOSE:A plasmid, containing an actinomycetous plasmid DNA and a gene, produced by actinomyces and related to production of an useful physiologically active substance and capable of producing the physiologically active substance with high efficiency without adding an inducer, e.g. salad oil, refined oil, etc., to a culture medium. CONSTITUTION:A vector obtained by DNA fragments related to production of cholesterol oxidase into a plasmid assuming a form multipliable in cultivated cells of pIJ702 known as an extrachromosomal gene (plasmid) of a microorganism belonging to the genus Streptomyces without adding an inductive substrate. The microorganism belonging to the genus Streptomyces is preferably a strain Streptomyces sp.SA-100 strain capable of producing cholesterol oxidase. The plasmid is preferably Streptomyces lividans pCO-1.
