PURPOSE:To set the termination part of a straight course without disturbing the drive of an automatic traveling vehicle and turn the vehicle at an adequate position, by using a magnetic substance to produce a traveling control sign for the drive controller of the vehicle and burying the control sign into the ground. CONSTITUTION:A sign (m) of the termination part of a straight course is set on the ground for a traveling controller of an automatic traveling vehicle V. Then the vehicle V travels automatically the 1st course (i) connecting straight the work start point ST and fruit trees F, the 2nd turning course (ii), the 3rd straight course (iii), the 4th turning course, etc. When the detector of the vehicle V detects the sign (m) at the end of the course (i), the vehicle V proceeds the source (ii). Then the vehicle V shifts automatically to the course (iii) from the course (ii) when the vehicle V detects the sign (m) again.
