PURPOSE:To improve the availability of a memory by securing physical input/ output buffers just in the number of files to be used simultaneously. CONSTITUTION:The on-line terminal equipments 11-13 give access requests to select one of files 15A-15E of the same attribute to give the access to it. An application program 10C attains said access function and gives access to files 15A-15E by a file control part 10B via a file control block. The part 10B secures a file control block 16 describing the attribute information on the files and serving as a structure that gives access to the files 15A-15E and a physical input/output buffer 17 which performs input/output of data on a memory. Then the part 10B describes address information 16a on the buffer 17 to the block 16 and connects two structures to each other.
