PURPOSE:To prevent the degradation in capacity of a reader optical path by providing a cleaning member which cleans the reflecting surface of a mobile reflecting mirror in accordance with the switching operation of the mobile reflecting mirror. CONSTITUTION:When a mobile reflecting mirror 12 is turned counterclockwise from a solid-line position to a broken-line position, the third reflecting mirror 15 is moved from a solid-line position to a broken-line position in accordance with this turning. A cleaning member 26 and a moving body 27 are moved to broken-line positions 26' and 27' through a wire 28 against a coiled spring 25 by this movement to clean the upper face of the mobile reflecting mirror 12. When the mobile reflecting mirror 12 is turned from the broken-line position to the solid-line position, the coiled spring 25 draws back the cleaning member 26 to the holding position in accordance with movement of the third reflecting mirror 15 in the direction of a solid line to terminate one cleaning process of the mobile reflecting mirror 12. Since the cleaning operation is automatically performed at each time of switching operation of the mobile reflecting mirror 12, the upper face of the mobile reflecting mirror 12 is always dustless and clean.
