PURPOSE:To prevent a heat roll from abnormal temperature rise by melting alloy to be easily melted within a short period and disconnecting electric power at the time of abnormal temperature rise of the heat roll. CONSTITUTION:Alloy 16 to be easily melted is inserted into a lead wire 15 connecting an electrode ring 6 fixed on the end part of a heating resistor 5 with a brush 14 arranged in a bearing part 1a of a roll body and sliding on an electrode arranged on the side part of the bearing part 1a. As indicated by its name, the alloy 16 to be easily melted has a low melting point and a property to be easily melted as the 1st condition. At the time of abnormal temperature rise of the heat roll, the alloy is fused within a short period and the heat roll can be prevented from the abnormal temperature rise.
