PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic recording/reproducing circuit having a filter characteristic with excellent cut-off and phase characteristics by providing plural delay circuits having a prescribed delay time and a signal synthesis circuit synthesizing plural signals with a prescribed multiplication ratio to a low pass filter. CONSTITUTION:The low pass filter is provided with plural delay circuits 1a-1n having a prescribed delay time, and signal synthesis circuits 3a-3(n-1) synthesizing plural signals with a prescribed ratio, a reproducing signal from a magnetic head is amplified by an amplifier, the amplified signal is given to plural delay circuits 1i, and the signal synthesis circuits 3(i-1) synthesize output signals of the plural delay circuits 1i as a function of discrete time with a prescribed ratio. A filter with a desired characteristic is realized by using the delay circuits 1i and active components and neither a capacitor nor a coil is not in use, then a read circuit having the filter with excellent cut-off and phase charactristic is obtained.
