The invention relates to a device simplifying the cutting system. The device is formed of a strip 1 bearing a small resupplying bar 8 and an ejector 17 for the button 9, as well as a cutting edge 15. The slide 4 serves for opening the housing 11 of the button 9. The device according to the invention makes the apparatus for placing buttons in two parts 9 and 13, used in the garment industry, more efficient. <IMAGE>
