PURPOSE:To prevent incomplete drying or excessive drying of plywood veneers in a plywood dryers, by introducing a plurality of plywood veneers set in parallel with each other, simultaneously into a conveying stage for the plywood dryer with the use of an autofeeder. CONSTITUTION:Each cycle period during which an autofeeder 3 swings and communicates with each conveying stage is set in accordance with the number of conveying stages for a plywood dryer 6 which dries plywood veneers, and the number of plywood veneers 1 adapted to be parallel introduced simultaneously into in each conveying stage, is set. When the plywood veneers 1 are inserted under predetermined operation of a pinch roll 10. The number of parallel arranged veneers which is previously set for each stage is counted up. Thus obtained count-up signal is delivered to a discriminator through a timer. Meanwhile, a signal which is delivered from a third detector 19 which detects the veneers coming up on a relay conveyer 15, is delivered to the discriminator, and if synchronization may be obtained, a pulse is issued to drive transverse aligning conveyers 17 by a predetermined distance.
