PURPOSE:To permit a wound ring to be lifted without being deformed, by standing a plurality of winding guide means having an upper portion relatively largely deformed by elasticity or flexibility on a turn table and winding a wire member around the guide means to form the wound ring. CONSTITUTION:A motor 6 is driven to turn a turn table 1 through a chain 5 and a sprocket 4 so that the wire member is wound around four pieces of plastic pipes 16-16 inserted into metal pipes 15-15. When a presiribed amount of the wire member bas been wound, the table 1 stops its rotation and a wound ring is bound by a rope 20 or the like to prevent its deformation. Then, when a chain 21 is wound around a part of the wound ring to cause it to be lifted by a crane, the upper portions of the pipes 16 bend inwardly because they are flexible so that the wound ring is pulled out from the pipes upwardly.
