PURPOSE:To run a drawout roll and a transfer conveyor in synchronized continuous operation by driving the drawout roll and a liner takeup shaft synchronously, mounting a friction clutch on the liner takeup shaft concentrically, and thereby absorbing increased liner takeup speed. CONSTITUTION:A band-shaped tread 1 is wound up on a stock reel 3 with a liner 2 interposed. A drawout roll 7 to draw out a string of treads 1 from said stock reel 3 together with liner 2 is supported at the front of a mount table 8, and coupled with a geared motor. The liner drawn out by this drawout roll 7 and defoliated is wound on a liner takeup shaft 24, on which a friction clutch is mounted, and the drawout roll 7 and takeup shaft 24 are driven synchronously. According to this construction the friction clutch assures syncronization of the liner takeup speed with the tread drawout speed of the drawout roll at all times even when the liner takeup shaft 24 increases its takeup diameter, which should enable continuous operation.
