PURPOSE:To improve the mass-productivity of a sensor base by using a retaining plate having a rise part so as to depress a matrix connection part and an optical sensor section overlapped together thereby forming an image sensor. CONSTITUTION:The sensor base 50 as an optical sensor section, the matrix connection section 60 connected to the sensor base 50 and consisting of a flexible board, a base 23 mounted with the overlapped sensor board 50 and the matrix connection section 60, and the retainer 28 clipping the overlapped sensor board 50 and matrix connection part 60 to the base 23 and progressed/retrogressed freely to the base 23 are provided. Then the retainer 28 is tightened to the base 23 by a screw 29 to press the contact part between the matrix connection 60 and the sensor board 50 by a retaining rubber 31. The sensor board 50 and the matrix board 60 are connected electrically by the pressing to form the linear image sensor by the connection.
