<p>PURPOSE:To enable precision setting of transport timing by driving a sheet transport belt by means of a drive belt, and thereby eliminating extra burden to the transport belt. CONSTITUTION:A drive belt 20 consists of a timing belt, set over a drive roller 24 and a follower roller 27 for accurate transmission of the drive force. A sheet transport belt 21 is wound round rollers 24, 27 and an idler roller 29 in such a way as overlapping with said drive belt 20 between said rollers 24 and 27. Thus the drive force of the drive belt is transmitted through contact with the sheet transport belt 21, so that no tensile force is applied to the belt 21 in its longitudinal direction, and no slip will be generated because of contacting in a wide area. This allows accurate setting of transport timing for sheet transported by the sheet transport belt 21, and transcription of toner image will be made precisely.</p> |
